Julia Lee Bird 03/04/1986 -01/07/2006
age 20 years lived in eastbourne.
Julia is my oldest child and leaves behind her sister Lusi and two brothers Shaun and Luke. Julia died suddenly in her sleep due to an epileptic fit.
Julia will always be my special girl, she was born in Spain and for the first 7 months developed quickly, she had a really wonderful character even then. at seven months she had her first fit and by the time she was one we had been told that she had a condition called Tuberous sclerosis. Julia had fits every night of her life since then, by the time she was 2 we knew that the condition had affected her kidneys and this led to her being on dialysis from august 2005, it was a combination of these problems that led to her death.
I have always said that these are medical facts but they do not tell you anything about the amazing person Julia is. As julia grew and overcame all the obstacles she faced I admired the strength of character she had, she went through her life with a smile, she adored her sister and brothers and the bond she had with them all will be everlasting, (and would have cherished her niece who is 3 months old now). Her motto was 'positive mental attitude' and she really lived every day, her sense of fun, cheekiness, persistence and willfullness made her reach for her dreams and never settle for less than she could achieve. She never used her difficulties as an excuse but faced life's challenges with a smile and determination to succeed.
She is my best friend and we will always miss her, we went out together at the weekends whenever we could. she loved music, dancing, and films. we were out at a local club the night before she died and the last images i have of her in my mind is her dancing and laughing. I will always be thankful that i was mum to such an inspirational, kind and loving person. these are the things that will stay with us until we are with her again, I cannot imagine not holding her again but know she is looking out for all of us who love her and that our love will never die.
